Tester

The Tester is an agent specialized in automated testing. Before using it, configure your automated test repository, test environment, and credentials from the sidebar: AI Agents > Tester.

Never provide the Tester with credentials or access to production environments — it should only create automations against validation environments.

Note that running an automated test requires a test execution environment external to the platform — the Tester's own runtime can't spin up your application; it accesses an external environment that must already be running the version you intend to test.

Once your repository and credentials are configured, pick the task you want to test (Task, Improvement, Bug). Go to task details modal > menu > Assign Tester, and choose which repository the Tester should use to version the automated test implementation.

The Tester agent downloads the automation repository's code, reads the task, builds test scenarios based on the task's details, subtasks, and acceptance criteria, and uses one of the supported E2E automation runtimes to access your test environment and perform the validations while writing the automation.

The expected output is an automation that can be run during regression testing, plus comments from the Tester on the task detailing the results of the tests it performed.
